這段的 Chandelier is still flickering 比喻身處在過去一起相處的空間，分手的隔天，腦海還是一直閃現過往的點點滴滴，如同水晶吊燈般不斷閃爍。

這段是描述分手後，獨自走在城鎮上，處處都可見過去與戀人相處的幻影，所以不禁問起「Is this small town(這座城鎮就這麼小嗎？)」→ 意思是怎麼到處都是你的身影呢？難道都找不到沒有你身影的地方嗎？ But if the story’s over, why am I still writing pages 這邊是用譬喻法，直譯是「故事已然結束，怎麼我還持續寫著下一頁呢？」story 指兩人的關係(愛情)，writing pages 指對關係的執著、不願意結束，所以意思大概是「為何這段關係已然結束我卻仍然眷戀著？」

最後一句「Paper cut stings from our paper thin plan」比較難翻，paper thin plan 應指過去自己構築的與對方一起生活的藍圖，paper cut stings 指那個藍圖(paper)現在卻刺痛著我。

這首歌有趣的是，歌詞痛徹心扉，卻用了相對輕快的旋律，第一次聽就給我一種比較抽離、超然的情感，寫著分手後都會經歷的心境，好像在告訴大家「痛是正常的、都會走過的」。後來去查才知道 Taylor 寫這首歌是因為看了 Netflix 的電影〈忘情今夜〉(Someone Great)，原來是以旁觀者的角度去寫歌的，這就完全可以理解了＾＾
